Fish Market and Bryggen, 23.05.2012

The Fish Market, located in the centre of the city, is famous for its choice of fresh frutti di mare.

Here, you can buy many kinds of local fish, lobsters, crabs, shrimps, or caviar.

It is also possible to taste the fruits of the sea in one of the "fast foods" on the Fish Market.

Dried and smoked fish is a local speciality.

Tourists may find it entertaining to see the city from the little "choo-choo" that purres along the streets through all the nice places Bergen has on offer.

The Fish Market serves as a good meeting point.

Here, you have the view on Bryggen and the harbour.

Since 1979. Bryggen (the Wharf) has been on the UNESCO World Heritage Site list.

Bryggen is home to many gift shops, restaurants and museums.

The city of Bregen was founded in 1070 and Bryggen is one of its oldest parts.

Although many of the wooden buildings were burnt in numerous fires, there are still parts that date back to the 15th century.

Some parts of Bryggen may put you in a feeling that you have actually traveled back in time...

Over the course of the years, many buildings have deformed and twisted and the walls aren`t straight anymore. It looks like the buildings could fall down any minute...
